Isla Phillips (born March 29, 2012) is the second daughter of Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn. She is currently 17th in line of succession to the British throne.

Early life Edit

Isla Elizabeth Phillips was born on March 29, 2012 at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, weighing in at seven pounds and four ounces.

At the time, the palace released a statement saying the Queen and her family were "delighted" by her arrival. The announcement read:

"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Autumn’s family have been informed and are delighted with the news."

Isla Elizabeth is the second grandchild for The Princess Royal and the second great-grandchild for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. She has one older sister, Savannah (b. 29 December 2010).

While it has been speculated that Isla's middle name is in honor of the Queen, that has never been officially confirmed.

On Sunday, 1 July 2012, her baptism took place at St. Nicholas' Church, Cherington, Gloucestershire.

Line of succession Edit

Despite her position in the order of succession, Isla Phillips does not hold the title of her royal highness. According to the BBC, children of the daughter of a monarch are not "entitled to the rank " and when Isla's father, Peter Phillips, was born, his parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, declined the Queen's offer to give him a title. Since neither of her parents have a royal rank, Isla doesn't have one either.

Public life Edit

The Phillips family reportedly lives a fairly low-key life in London.Making her royal balcony debut in 2017 at the Trooping of colour, she and her sister Savannah are seen at royal events on occasion.

In October 2018, Isla along with her sister, Savannah, and cousins, Mia Tindall, Princess Charlotte and Maud Windsor, served as a bridesmaid in Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding.
